There’s a certain thrill that comes with launching something new. For me, starting this blog feels a bit like building a website from scratch — you begin with a blank canvas, a few ideas, and a strong desire to create something meaningful.
I’ve been building websites for over a decade now. Not the drag-and-drop kind you spin up in five minutes — but real websites, with carefully crafted layouts, clean code, thoughtful user journeys, and a strategy behind every pixel. And yet, in all these years, I never made time to consistently write about it. Until now.
This blog is my space to change that.
Whether you’re a fellow developer, a founder looking to build something online, or someone curious about how modern websites (and now, AI tools) come together, this blog is for you. I want to share not just what I know, but how I think, what I’ve learned, and where I see the web heading.
My Journey: From Static Sites to Smart Systems
When I wrote my first lines of code back in 2011, websites were simpler. The tools were basic, and so were most client needs. But even then, I saw how powerful the web could be for someone with a message, a product, or a dream. That passion hasn’t changed — it’s just evolved.
After completing my education from GGSIPU, I stepped into the world of professional web development. By 2013, I was working remotely a Wisconsin-based digital agency. Over the last decade, I’ve built, optimized, and maintained more than 100 websites with them, covering industries from manufacturing and wellness to tech and events.
I’ve also partnered with PsychFit Inc. in Washington, DC since 2017, supporting their site strategy and ongoing blog infrastructure. And on the side, I’ve collaborated with clients across India, the U.S., Europe, and beyond — building everything from sleek portfolio sites to complex, SEO-optimized eCommerce stores.
Why This Blog Exists
There are hundreds of thousands of blogs about web development and design. So why another one?
Because most blogs either talk at people or get lost in technical jargon. I want this blog to be practical, honest, and experience-driven. I’m not here to flex tech stacks or overwhelm you with buzzwords. I’m here to share real stories, useful strategies, and lessons that actually matter — especially if you’re running a business, managing clients, or working solo.
Here’s what you can expect:
-
Behind-the-scenes looks at how I plan and build WordPress websites
-
Insights into tools like DIVI, Elementor, Thrive Architect, WooCommerce
-
Real fixes for common pain points: slow speed, bad UX, clunky plugins
-
Experiments with AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and automation platforms like Zapier and IFTTT
-
Thoughtful content on design thinking, remote work, client handling, and the freelance life
It’ll be part tutorial, part journal, part toolbox — and fully grounded in real work.
A Shift Toward Smarter Websites
The web isn’t what it used to be — and that’s a good thing.
Today, websites can do a lot more than just display information. They can:
-
Personalize content based on user behavior
-
Generate blog posts or ad copy using AI
-
Answer visitor queries through custom chatbots
-
Track conversions and optimize themselves over time
-
Sync with CRMs, email tools, or analytics platforms automatically
That’s the direction I’ve moved in too. I still love good design and solid code — but I’m equally excited about building websites that think, that adapt, that solve problems even when no one’s watching.
Over the last couple of years, I’ve started building my own AI-powered tools — like content generators, dynamic search features, and industry-specific chatbots. These aren’t gimmicks. They’re time-savers, enhancers, and growth multipliers.
If you’re someone who believes your site should work smarter — not harder — you’re going to enjoy what I share here.
Lessons Worth Sharing (and Remembering)
Before I wrap this first post, I want to leave you with a few simple lessons I’ve learned after building websites for 12+ years. These shape how I work, and they’ll show up often in future blog posts:
-
Start with clarity, not code.
The best websites are built with clear goals, not flashy features. Know what you want it to do — the design will follow. -
Don’t chase perfection. Ship it.
Launch that site, that landing page, that blog post. You can iterate later. Momentum matters more than polish in the beginning. -
Speed is UX.
No one wants to wait 5 seconds for a homepage to load. Optimizing speed is one of the highest-ROI things you can do. -
Good design is invisible.
If a visitor never has to “figure out” your website, you’ve already won. -
AI is not here to replace you — it’s here to amplify you.
Learn how to work with it. Use it as a collaborator, not a competitor.
What’s Next?
In the next few posts, I’ll be diving into:
-
My current WordPress + AI setup for generating content
-
How I audit a site before a rebuild
-
Why I use Divi for some clients and Elementor for others
-
Real examples of client wins (and a few mistakes too)
If you’re building a brand, running a business, or just curious about the web and its possibilities — I hope you’ll stick around.
Thanks for reading. Here’s to what we’ll build next.
